Just as an irrigation system carries water to places that need nourishment in order to grow and flourish, God knows exactly where we are dry, weary, wounded, or in need of refreshing. His loving presence reaches those places. He nourishes us, restores us, and patiently brings new life where we may have thought nothing could grow again.
That section caused me to reflect, to listen, and to receive. Sometimes we are looking for God in the spectacular, while He is lovingly teaching us how to recognize His presence in the process, the watering, the waiting, the pruning, the healing, and ultimately, the growth.
Lacricia, thank you for reminding me that my pain does not have to be wasted and my past does not have the final word. God is still the Redeemer. He can take what was broken and make it beautiful. He can take what brought tears and turn it into testimony. He can take the very places we once wanted to hide and use them to bring hope and healing to someone else.
That is what I see in Courage: A Redemption Story: a surrendered story as a mighty tool for Kingdom ministry.
